Before you start READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION.
Fusing Fusing The FTs is not a sealed device, and therefore must be installed in a location that is protected from moisture, excessive sunlight and high temperatures. The FTs harness is fused with a 3Amp fuse, which protects the installation in the event of a short to earth.
If the fuse has blown, inspect the wiring to ensure a short to earth is not present before replacing it with the same size and type fuse as originally provided.
Using an incorrect fuse, or installing the fuse in any other location can potentially cause catastrophic damage to the vehicle in the event to a short to earth.
Wiring requirements All wire terminations must be soldered and properly insulated with good quality electrical tape or glue-lined heat shrink or crimped using a professional ratchet crimp tool using insulated connectors. The FTs positive and negative input wire terminations must be connected directly to the vehicles start battery using one of the two methods mentioned.
To prevent false alarms, and increased drain on the vehicles start battery, ensure that all wires that are unused in the installation are properly insulated once the installation is complete. The FTs device is wired directly to the vehicles Battery, which supplies the 12/24v power input to the device.
The FTs will automatically switch to sleep mode with vehicle ignition and will reduce its current load to between SmA during sleep mode when the vehicle ignition is OFF.

Installation instructions
To install the device, you need to connect it to a power supply +30, ground and an ignition source +15. Install the unit under the dash with the Fleet Complete sticker facing up and a direct view of the sky, unobstructed by any metal panels.
Also make sure that the windshield does not contain any metal particles since this affects the GPS reception.
Run up to 2 tie-wraps over the unit to secure it tightly on the surface. Do not mount the device against air ducts inside the dash. Never connect cables directly to the fuse box.
RFID reader installation (optional)
- Place the RFID reader in the driver's side front window, or in a convenient location for scanning.
- Then run the 6-PIN connector of the RFID reader to the FTs harness and connect it to the wire with RFID label.
Immobilizer installation (optional)
The immobilizer function must intercept the ignition wire before the starter motor. Check the vehicle is unable to start with the ignition wire disconnected from the starter motor.
NOTE: Do not use any wire or vehicle component other than the ignition wire at the starter motor.
Installation steps:
- Cut the ignition wire of the starter motor.
- Connect the BLACK wire from PIN 87a on the relay to the wire that has +12/24v with vehicle key in the ON position.
- Connect the BLUE wire from PIN 30 on the relay to the wire that is connected to the starter motor.
- Plug the 2-pin immobilizer connector from PIN 85 and PIN 86 on the coil of the relay to 2-pin connector with label RELAY.
- After installation, verify the following:
- The immobilizer function (vehicle will not start without driver sing-in).
- Confirm that the vehicle is started after the connection.
NOTE: The function of the immobilizer relay is NC (Normally Closed)
NOTE: Please confirm before INSTALLATION the required relay depending on the type of vehicle (12V or 24V)
Temperature sensor installation (optional)
| Function | Temperature sensor color | FTs harness cable color |
|---|---|---|
| 1-Wire data | Green/Yellow | Pin10 1W data White |
| Power (5V) | Blue | Pin12 1W power Orange |
| Ground | Brown | Pin1 GND Brown/Black |
Remove insulation from the ends of the wires for soldering. Use appropriate tools and isolate the soldered points with heat shrink.
Installer portal view and installation validation
When installation is complete, installation verification must take place in the installer portal.
- Login using your personal PIN code obtained during onboarding training:
- Enter device IMEI, which can be found on device box and on the device itself:
- Validate incoming data from the device:
- Data should be refreshing live
- Ignition should be switching
- GPS signal should be OK
- Validate RFID sign-in and sign-out, RFID card ID should be displayed in the installer portal as last driver
5. Validate immobilizer, vehicle should not start when signed out (RFID reader greed LED OFF)
- Generate installation report and fill in all installation details:
- Vehicle plate number should be entered in capital letters and digits
- Enter all required ( * )fields about the vehicle and peripheral equipment
- Brief description of where the unit is installed, connected wire colors etc.
