FCPlus Insurance module

The Insurance module allows you to get real-time alarm notifications in case of car theft and to review a history of these activities.

The insurance module is divided into two parts:

  • On the left side you can find information about the car, device installer, leasing company and driver.
  • On the right side is information about triggered alarms and option to turn off alarm notification for a certain time.

How to add a new vehicle?  

If you need to add a new vehicle to the Insurance module, please follow next steps:

  1. Select the car you want to add to the insurance module on the top left and fill in the fields below:
  • Vehicle:information about the vehicle.
  • Installationfield:add information about the device installer.
  • Lease field:add information about the leasing company.
  • Driver field:add information about the main driver.
  • Alternative contact:Add information about alternative contacts within your company.
  • Insurance: add information about the insurance company.

2. Click on Save button to save information about vehicle.

What triggers notification?

For the insurance module to work and for the security company to receive a notification about the vehicle theft, you need to switch on two events that can serve as a trigger for an alert in the Insurance module:

  • Power failure immediately notifies when a vehicle have an issue with power.
  • Tow alert immediately notifies that a vehicle is being towed.

How to add Power failure event? 

If you need to add a Power failure event, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Settings module.
  2. Open the Events tab.
  3. Click on Add new button on the top left.
  4. Event form on the right-hand side will be enabled.

5. Enter all the necessary details in the Rule section of the Event form:

  • Name: Power Failure event
  • Condition: Choose condition Event with code from the Dropdown menu and enter code 41 in the right field.

6. Enter all the necessary restrictions into the Restrictions section:

  • Vehicle: Сhoose the vehicle from the dropdown list to which this event will apply
  • Time: Сhoose the timeframe from the dropdown in which this event will work.
  • Location: Choose the location from the dropdown list in which this event will work.

7. Add a phone number and email address to receive notifications in case of car theft.      8. Click on Save button at the bottom to save settings.

How to add Tow alert event?

If you need to add a Tow alert event, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Settings module.
  2. Open the Events tab.
  3. Click on Add new button on the top left.
  4. Event form on the right-hand side will be enabled.

5. Enter all the necessary details in the Rule section of the Event form:

  • Name: Tow alert event
  • Condition: Moving while ignition off lasting for 5 minutes.

6. Enter all the necessary restrictions into the Restrictions section:

  • Vehicle: Сhoose the vehicle from the dropdown list to which this event will apply.
  • Time: Сhoose the timeframe from the dropdown in which this event will work.
  • Location: Choose the location from the dropdown list in which this event will work.

7. Add a phone number and email address to receive notifications in case of car theft.       8. Click on the Save button in the bottom to save settings. s. 

Insurance tracking alarms Alarms sections allow you to see the history of triggered alarms for a certain period. To load events, you can set the period manually or select it by clicking on the arrow next to the Load events button.

How to disable alarms? 

You have the option to disable the alarms for a specific period. This option may be relevant for you if you are taking the car to a service where the battery will be removed or traveling by ferry with a vehicle.

To disable the alarm, you must manually set the period or select it by clicking on the arrow next to the Load events button.

Please follow the steps below to disable the alarm in the insurance module:

  1. Select the period from the calendar for which you want to disable notification or by clicking on the arrow next to Disable alarms until button.
  2. Click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.

When the alarm is disabled, you will see a message with the period in which it doesn’t work.

​​​​​​ If you change your mind about turning off the notification for the specified period, then just click on the cancel button.

P.S. The alarm will be turned off in the specified period. After this period, alarm notification will continue work.
